Several of the units within Facilities and Energy Management have bidding rights in their contracts. All staff subject to bidding processes should be aware of the timelines and effective dates of such bids.
Building Service Workers bid up to three times each year. There is a fall and summer full-bid, and in December a vacancy bid is held. The dates and times are available by contacting your foreman.
Three of the Craft Trades units hold bids for second shift. These bids are effective April 1 and October 1 each year. Look for bid sheets in March and September.
The Heating Plant Engineers, Firemen, and Water Operators hold bids three times a year. Please contact your assistant chief to determine when the bids will be held.
